“Welcome to Jordan!” is what you will hear Jordanians say at any time in any place. And they genuinely mean it! Besides enjoying the friendliness of the people and an unforgettable visit to Petra, the magical climbing in Wadi Rum will be a life time experience.
Wadi Rum is situated in the desert in the south of Jordan where huge sandstone towers dominate the landscape. To date there are more than 350 routes and there is an unlimited potential for many more. The only thing to be aware of is that the British were here first and set the climbing ethic. This means one thing - traditional climbing! However, although very limited, Wadi Rum also has some challenging sport climbing routes. As ever, the Rock Climbing Atlas provides you with all the details.
