Rock climbing in Lebanon is still in a very early stage of development. Although the rock climbing is great - the settings are beautiful and the protection is excellent - it is not worth going to Lebanon just for a climbing holiday. The total number of routes does not exceed 150 and the vast majority are graded less than 6b. Nevertheless the number of climbers is on the increase and the sport is becoming more and more popular! So, if you are around anyway, be sure to check out some routes! |
