Croatia offers some of the best climbing of Europe.
Actually it seems as if the whole country is made of rock! With its beautiful coastline, original fisherman’s villages and the sea always nearby, Croatia is undeniably an absolutely great climbing destination.
But it is not just the coast that makes Croatia a popular tourist destination - inland there are a number of fantastic national parks. And if you are looking to combine climbing with other activities, there is a lot to choose from in Croatia. Diving, hiking or biking are all good choices and the towns of Dubrovnik, Split or Pula are definitely worth a visit. Either way, the Rock Climbing Atlas describes it all.
Croatia has over 50 different crags, but there is endless more potential. And, making it even more attractive for the pleasure-seeking climber, all routes tend to be very well bolted.
